My exhaustion can, apparently, be textually rendered. See subject line.

I'm constitutionally unable to sleep in (or to sleep for more than three hours at a stretch, it seems) so I am sitting in my bed, drinking coffee, and reading lj on my laptop. My lovely roommate katallison left yesterday, so I am all by my lonesome, but I can sense the presence of ( Read more... )

Oh, man, it's so glorious running at sea level while still adapted to altitude.

Yeah, and I can tell you from experience, it's just the opposite for us flatlanders. Y'all are spoiled.

One of the reasons I love Escapade is being able to run along the ocean. It's a great start to a day at a con.

Heh, I still remember just how miserable I was trying to bike and swim when I first moved to CO.

It was hilarious when Matt tried to run on our last day in Durango--he thought he was acclimated, but he managed about two miles and pretty much died. I didn't even bother.

As I recall, it took about 3 weeks the first time I moved to Colorado. But after the boating intervals, I don't think it took nearly as long to re-adapt.

I still am pathetic at high elevation. Backpacking over about 11,000 feet I move quite slowly.

OK, that subject line? I read that as a lying-down person, on their back.

Which would mean that you are currently sporting an erection.

Have I been missing somewhere throughout all this time that I've known you??

Aha! I just realised that this is meant to be a narrative. Hooray moves to splat.

I'm not cut out for this. LJ is too difficult for me...

Sounds great! I'm on a Sharpe kick at the moment and your icon was enough to halt me in my tracks for some lengthy appreciation.
