Where 'recent' means 'in the last two weeks', because at first I was waiting until I had enough to post, and then I got hit by the Great DreamHost Zapperoo, and then I was too depressed to read anything for a while. She's left before, and come back, so I'm assuming it's just temporary after being driven crazy by some idiot or the other. At least, I hope so!

"The Fraser Record (Excerpts)" is one of the creepiest stories I have ever read. I loved it. I'm still trying to make time for "Real Boys," which I've heard so many good things about.

I was yay happy to discover you did a Hornblower vid! It's my newest fandom so I am totally enamored with it.

I found "Real Boys" a little hard to get into at first, because you need to read it slowly. But it's really amazingly - I want to say original, but it's a genre pastiche, so that's not quite right. The creative imagining and crossing over the world of due South into this sf world is just wow.

I love the Captain Jacks. :D I've never seen Torchwood and I've only seen the M&C movie, never read any of the books, but I'm thinking a three-way crossover fic might be fun.... [ponder]

And on the off chance it might make you a little less depressed for a minute or two, I'll mention that I wrote squidfic for the Porn Battle and it's all your fault -- I'd never have even considered such a thing before I met you. So if Draco complains I'll send him your way. ;)

Isn't that a great picture? I failed to get into Torchwood and gave it up after 6 eps, but I'd read a three-way crossover. (Someone pointed me to a TW/PotC xover called "A Pair of Captain Jacks" but I can't find it again offhand.)

Now I will go see your squidfic!

All I've seen of Torchwood is the WWII-era kiss scene, a YouTube link for which was zipping around the net a while back. Although I'll admit that was enough to make me consider renting the DVDs or whatever. :)
