That was lovely. I loved both Boone and Claire in these early episodes, when their characters were jus starting to unfold, and it's so nice that your fic bringas us back to these days :) *gets all nostalgic*

I totally think that that was all that Boone wanted, to feel useful, to feel helpful, to feel needed..I think that's why he went with Locke too, he felt important. That little gesture of him finding those objects, but more, Claire asking him to help her really meant a lot to him.

From my observations, Boone just wanted to feel like he was contributing something, like he was helpful and, yeah, like he was needed. I'm actually sad I didn't pay more attention to him when he was there, because he was gone so quickly. He was actually a decent guy.
