Geoff Johns' Legion for Smallville Fen
Tomorrow is "Legion" and I am ridiculously excited! So excited that I've actually been avoiding spoilers which is very unusual for me when it comes to Smallville. Instead, I've been reading Geoff Johns' written Legion appearances. I probably shouldn't have done that because now I'm downright giddy. Not just for Smallville, but for Flash: Rebirth, for Superman: Secret Origins and for the remaining issues of Legion of Three Worlds. He's obviously been building the Legion story he's telling in the comics since '06 and I'm excited that we'll finally get to see it culminate this year.
As for Smallville's "Legion", I haven't been this excited for a Smallville episode since the season opener. *rubs hands together with anticipation* I know the Smallville folks on my f'list who don't read comics have read interviews and now know not only how well respected Geoff is, but also what a giant geeky fanboy he is too. Something I didn't see mentioned in any of the articles, but imho is important to know - this is the guy who gave us a canon Clex love-child. Kon's origin as a Lex Luthor/Superman hybrid (created from "Project Lionel") was a retcon from Geoff's Teen Titans run. The guy really does love Smallville. ♥
