Sixth Form Roadshow & St. Andrew's Day service

Why on earth did the school decide to call it a Sixth Form roadshow? A roadshow is something that moves around and shows at different places, right? Did they even know what a roadshow was when they named it? What could possibly be further than a roadshow than my school's open evening to talk about A level subjects?

We get there here too - parents who will punish their children if the kids don't take all honors/AP classes (AP is like our version of A-levels). I don't have much sympathy for them when their children are completely alienated and the parents are left lonely.

And it also means that when the child has a chance to make their own desicions once they start going to university or whatever, they're not going to have the experience in making desicions for themselves. It's like when children who've grown up in really strict households go to college and just go completely off the rails.

ha, old gheygoats still as insane and totalitarian as ever i see :P
at least you're nearly in 6th form where, as i remember it, anarchy reigns (if you want it enough)
i'd forgotten about the roadshow, golly...
