Indeed he changes the last kanji of the saying, using the one for "nature" (used to say, for example, feminine and masculine nature). I read the "changed saying" in this way, since food and "nature" sounds to me like "basic corporal needs" (I have to say that everything said by Koki in my head resonates as ero-connected LOL), and he said that "all the men are similar" because they want that things (XD), and discussed with Ueda&Kame about "not stopping the feelings"...
