Last Tuesday evening, Stanley told me he wanted a haircut. Stanley has never had a haircut, and his beautiful long blond hair falls in gorgeous ringlets, which I was washing at the time. Stanley has always hated having his hair washed, and I though perhaps he was requesting a haircut as a way to avoid future hair washing. Anyway, it was after eight ( Read more... )

I don't know if this will help, but at mount pleasant and davisville, there's a shop called crazycuts you can get your haircut in a thomas the tank engine, when my wife and I have children, if they're scared, we will talk to them but take them somewhere fun like this to help alleviate anxiety.

Thanks. A couple of people have suggested this, and I think for some people this is the perfect solution. The small person seems quite clear about where he wants to go, I just did not pick right on Sunday, and I think he needed some time there to figure that out.

Navigating hair can be tricky indeed. It can get kind of epic over here as we have additional intersectional issues in the mix.
