Last Tuesday evening, Stanley told me he wanted a haircut. Stanley has never had a haircut, and his beautiful long blond hair falls in gorgeous ringlets, which I was washing at the time. After synagogue last week, there were masks on the tables in the kiddush. The tables were covered in blue cloths and in the middle of each were stacks of beautiful feathered masks and noise-makers. I'm not really ready for this week's baby. I've really only caught up to last week's baby and what he can do. This week's baby has two front teeth, rolls here there and everywhere and wants to climb-climb-climb. I swear that on Sunday the zucchinni was of a reasonable size, small and delicate looking. By dinner time Monday it had grown however and was threatening to be baseball bat size by Tuesday. When the Small Boy and I are out together, just the two of us we get asked about "his mother" and "my wife". Apparently she must be proud that I take him out in public, glad I do the shopping, and delighted with the Small Boy. For what feels like months now the small boy has keenly been watching his bigs perform the magic trick where they put solid objects in their mouths and make them disappear.
