That was beautiful, showing her changing throughout the years from a young girl full of hope, to the woman we saw in the show. I adore this fic, and not least of all because it actually shows Guy in a good light. sort of.

Yeah, I'm one of those people that never could quite jump on the bandwagon of Guy-hate for "selling" Isabella to Thornton. And I was trying to make sense of it from Isabella's point of view, since her attitude toward Guy was....confusing, and vice versa.

Thanks for a lovely review. :)

Same here. I mean, he was only young himself at the time and he thought he was doing the best thing. I think you managed your goal very well ^^

Very poignant and sad. You've evoked Isabella's feelings so well.

This is exquisite. So sad and yet sweet. I love the imagery of the hairbrush in the first section and the way you use colors throughout. Really wonderful.

This is a really nice piece. Beautiful sad ending. I love the part where she recognizes herself in Guy. So dysfunctional.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked that part - I really wanted Isabella to be able to feel some glimmer of sympathy with Guy, no matter how small, because it was obvious that they'd both been victims of circumstance and victims of their own poor decisions.
