Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. Many of the older trees especially have lovely winding and turning trunks. I have a lot of pictures of those although I don't remember how many of the 160 made it to the 34 I shoved in the scrapbook.
The pics are stunning. So beautiful. I hope one day to be in a place where the cherry trees bloom in all their glory. For now though, at least seeing the pictures is good enough. Thanks ever so much for posting them. Made my day to see them!
This is DC's biggest redeeming factor as far as I'm concerned. There's a lot I wouldn't miss about this place, but if we ever left, I would have to travel back every year to see the sakura.
*hangs head in shame* I can make food next week. Which thing do you want me to bring the ingredients for? I'm guessing shirataki is hard to come by in Pittsburgh.
We had hellish storms Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, so we went on the best possible day. Sunday was overcast, but we never got more than a sprinkle so it was perfect.
*pets* I was just teasing you, sweetie. You can make me something the next time I'm down that way. Next weekend you're here to visit friends and enjoy the con, not cook food!
I'm so glad this year's cherry blossom party turned out so well.

The pics are gorgeous, and it looks like the predicted rain on Sunday didn't ruin any of the blooms. Did it rain on Wednesday?
