Now that you mention it, that whole scene was pretty symbolic, wasn't it? I wouldn't mind seeing an internal Tony reaction myself. :)

I think I might write one. That really was an emotional scene-and you're right. Obadiah was like Tony's uncle and sheesh...

I might also include the video that Pepper found on the ghost drive.

Shipping's good and all, especially Tony/Pepper, but some more gen stuff would be great.

And I had not thought of that; Tony's reaction to the vid. would further amplify the sense of the rip-out-heart-scene.

I've got a bunch in the works (gen-fic and shippy stuff alike). I tend to scribble down outlines (and sketch) when I'm bored in class-I usually post them once I've got more than eight chapters finished.

I watched the movie again on Tuesday... Jeff Bridges' acting really got me thinking. The way he looms over people in that unspoken way of saying "I'm bigger than you" and how he wraps his arm around Tony's neck almost like a collar after the press conference... Now that I think about it, they shot the "rip-out-heart" scene on this tilted angle-like Tony's world has just been tilted ass over teakettle as this man he trusted looms over him and says things to him that are horrific... And the look RDJ gets in those expressive eyes of his is just so heart wrenching. No pun intended.

Crap. Sorry-I got off on a tangent. I'm taking a Film Studies class (that starts in... about three hours) and it's kind of taken over my brain as far as movie watching is concerned. I even took notes while I was watching Iron Man on Tuesday.

Mostly, I'm a shipper, but I do adore reading and writing a good exposition of character. I'll put this on the todo list, right up there with dealing with his alcoholism...
