This reminds me of a certain gen fic I've been wanting.
I mean, from the movie I got that Obediah Stane was an uncle, a father figure to Tony. And I felt that in the uber-creepy scene of heart yanking, besides the very obvious heart-yanking, I felt the look on Tony's face was also from being UTTERLY DESTROYED BY DADDY-FIGURE RIPPING HIS HEART OUT AND REVEALING ALL HIS HORRIFYINGLY TRUE NATURE SHIT.
I mean, I want to see internal/external Tony reaction to this, if I'm reading it right, that Obediah was a father figure to him.
(But I do love all the Tony/Pepper going around, really.)
