Tony found the situation involving Bruce Wayne and Lorna Dane confusing on a lot of levels, not least the way their rhyming last names made him think of some kind of counting rhyme. Granted, the situation wasn't, on any immediate level, his business, but, if anything, that made getting involved more appealing. There were so few things left, these

Seeing Lorna approach, Tony stood up, smiled, and pulled out a chair for her. "Magnet girl!" he said, taking her by both hands, and kissing her once on each cheek. "It's been far too long. How long has it been?"

"Never too busy for you," he said, smoothly, though Lorna could have listed off a dozen times that clearly wasn't true, if she felt like it.

He signaled the waiter, ordered a tonic water for himself, and asked Lorna to give her order.

As he left, Tony said, casually, "Speaking of work, I hear you've joined Wayne's . . .research division, is it?" Hopefully, they could get through this part of the conversation easily, and spend the rest of the evening on the fun stuff.
