Tony found the situation involving Bruce Wayne and Lorna Dane confusing on a lot of levels, not least the way their rhyming last names made him think of some kind of counting rhyme. Granted, the situation wasn't, on any immediate level, his business, but, if anything, that made getting involved more appealing. There were so few things left, these days, that weren't any of his business, this could be a refreshing change.
Though if Lorna really was planning some kind of synthetic-mutant-powers program through Wayne's company, SHIELD should have it on the radar in some official capacity. This would bring their dinner date around to business again -- which was sort of a shame, as it took the focus away from the pretty girl with unpredictable taste in men.
