... You're doing it again, Tetsu. You weren't alone through Fudomine. Just like you aren't alone now. You got me, still. Always have, always will. Shin and Kamio, too. Even Kai-san and the rest of your friends at Yamabuki.
Alright, I admit, it was better with you when you were working than spending all my free time at the courts. Even if it was just cause I got to actually hang out with you. And I was not whining that much, thank you. >>
You, too, huh? I don't feel like dressing up this year... Come over to mine for Saturday night?
...I know. I know I wasn't truly alone while going through Fudoumine. I had the rest of the gang, especially you, by my side through it all. ...But this was my fucking brother we're talking about. He went with my father and abandoned us. He abandoned Okaasan and Namari. He abandoned me. ...And I haven't found it within myself to forgive him for it yet.
You know, it'd be more fun for you if you actually tried to make it entertaining. Construction isn't *that* boring if you put effort into it. In fact, like I said, it can be lots of fun if you know how to handle it. Yes you were~ You whiny whiner~
I rarely feel like dressing up for Halloween, and it's only because of Namari convincing me to that I ever do these days. She oddly enough hasn't said much about trick-or-treating this year, though. Only that she's got some friends she's getting together with for it instead of sticking with her Nii-chan. ...If they're a bunch of boys I might feel tempted to kill them. ...So sure~ I'll come over to your place.
...I know, Tetsu. And you know, no one's holding it against you for not forgiving him or anything like that. But you know what the best thing you can do right now is? Just don't worry about it. Look at you now, Tetsu. Look at your mom and your little sister. They're happy. You know why? Because they've got you looking after them. You're an amazing big brother to Nama-chan, and you do a lot to help your mom out. You guys are stable. You're happy and keeping each other together. Don't let what's happened in the past keep rising. It'll just try to break you guys apart and... I don't want to have to pick up the pieces again, Tetsu. I will if it happens, but I hate seeing you go through that. So just ignore your dad and your brother and concentrate on the happy life you've made for yourself right here and now, okay

...I know. But it took me a long fucking time to make that happen for the two of them. I worked my ass off doing the very job that the man I hate did for a living just to help my mother make ends meet and so we could dig ourselves out of debt and out of that fucking house that caused us so much trouble. ...I know. And I don't want to ever go through that again. Thankfully, I probably never will. ...Unless something unforetold happens to the women I love. I'll try my best, though. But sometimes...it's just hard to forget the past
( ... )
Not when it first happened. I didn't know any of you aside from Masaya when they first left. And you and Tachibana-san didn't show up until halfway through our first year, when we had already been fully exposed to the harshness of Fudoumine.
Problem there. There's nothing to do. Hence why I was bemoaning being bored. But Masaya has at least found something for us to do on Saturday night, and I'll be bringing Namari with me for that. His parents will look after her while we're watching scary movies, since she'll probably end up with nightmares again if I agree to let her watch them with us.
