I too noticed Dean was wearing the same jacket future!Dean was wearing here. But for me it brought me to mind what future!Dean told Dean back in The End, that he was arrogant in saying no to Michael, thinking he himself with a GED and a whole lot of attitude can stop the Apocalypse. Thus a mere wardrobe clothing choice here added credence to Dean's "you ain't in my shoes" claim for me. All the other protagonists here are saying Dean is giving up, is failing (in his willingness to accept Michael), but I think Dean's choice is more complex here.
I didn't notice that actually... but I was confused because when Dean escaped the panic room, he took a coat looking thingy from the basement. But it didn't look like that jacket at all...
Oh the leather jacket was definitely relevant - he was packing it away with the Impala keys and a (suicide by Michael?) note to Sam, as if he was leaving everything Dad had left to Dean to Sam in turn.
