SN 5.18 rewatch: The importance of being Dean's jacket
So I finally got the chance to rewatch 5.18 and, call me dumb, but on the first watch I wondered what the significance was to Dean's snaking a jacket after he busted out of the panic room. The first one he takes off the hook he discards on the floor (I can only think that was one of Sam's horrible fawn-coloured things). Then he runs off to find Michael in the second jacket he takes off the hook.
Okay, yeah, it took me two watches to notice, and I could be completely delusional, but when he's getting the crap beaten out of him by the nerdy angel? He's wearing the jacket Future!Dean was wearing in The End. You know, the green army-type jacket with the epaulettes? Significant? Hmm, only in that it was the Dean who said "No" to Michael who was wearing that jacket in The End.
By the time Dean's back in the Green Room he's wearing his regular green jacket again.
