A few months and 1037 lines of code... The raytracer is finished and turned in. I might add some stuff or do some things with it later, but I don't have to work on this anymore. Got back some exams. CPSC 215 Exam 2: 97. CPSC 231 Exam 3: 108. Now if I could just stop failing my easy ass math class I'd be in business. I got my change of major card signed by Ken Weaver yesterday, as well. Taking it to Sikes Hall today and I should officially be a CPSC major.

I'm in CPSC 231 lab right now. We're doing some SPARC assembly programming. From the lab notes: Note: We are using pi as an integer over here. (pi = 3 instead of pi = 3.14).

Pi does not equal 3. Pi does not equal 3.14. Don't use equal signs bastard faces. Also, don't truncate my irrational numbers before less than 50 digits.

I spent all night working on my raytracer and still didn't finish by midnight. I'm really sick of my professors giving us code for two reasons. Firstly, it's ugly, inefficient, and detracts from our learning. Secondly, it's nearly always broken and I never learn my lesson and write the stuff they give me on my own until I've wasted an hour or two ( Read more... )

I got a 110/100 on that assembler I wrote in Perl for 231. I believe this gives me a 98.2 average in the class. :D

Can't wait for fall break. I think DoubleParadoxx is gonna start playing DDR with me over the break, too.

My CPSC 215 teacher is an idiot. The past two class periods we've covered literally no new material. Monday we went over how to read information in a file into a variable, and today he's showing us makefiles.
