Alright I guess I'll admit it. I miss my home in Olney. Ever since I moved away I've been bitter about there, and especially after Sam died, I just couldn't bring myself to remember happy memories there in earnest.
Lately it's been flooding back, and I'm coming to grips with the fact that I just really wish I hadn't had to move. I wanted more time ( Read more... ) -

Sheesh... I've been in this house for over four years now, and I think just now it's starting to feel like home. I've got the basement in a state where it feels more like a place to hang out/man cave than just a big laundry room, Jenny and I are clearing out the other bedrooms, and we're really starting to get a hand on decorating the main floor.

Good Times
Just found out I'm going to London for the week of the 20th in January to meet my new team :) With this new role in Pearson Global Technology I may be seeing a lot more of the rest of the world while I help them roll out new technologies!
This just about fits what I'd call a dream job :)

Didn't want to post this to FB cuz I don't need everyone there commenting about my thyroid, but damn. Switching jobs was awesome except for the part where my medication ran out a month or so ago and I couldn't refill it cuz I was switching insurance, then the doctor wouldn't refill it cuz he wanted me to finally do my labwork, etc etc ( Read more... ) -
