Description: Gabriel's whereabouts before the Winchesters: from his life in Heaven to his roaming on Earth after leaving Heaven, passing by how he posed as Loki and why.
Notes: Like most of my texts, it's been beta'd by asakiyumemishi, who's also got the patience to listen to my never-ending ramblings and harassment. My best friend, Shei, is also helping me when I'm conflicted about how I should do some things. Each part can be read as a stand-alone, but they all complete each others.

Spoilers:[heavy spoiler for season 9]Since I began writing before we learnt that Ezekiel died in the Fall, I didn't know that was Gadreel impersonating Ezekiel. Here's it's the Ezekiel that died in the Fall since, obviously, Gadreel was in Heaven's dungeon at the time Liminality happens.

Summary: With Michael and Lucifer’s constant skirmishes, Heaven is a mess Gabriel wants to escape from. However, unwilling to depart Heaven itself, Gabriel takes solace in watching the life of his vessel on Earth. That is, until God orders them to exterminate the Nephilim; the perfect occasion for the archangel to finally have his vessel.

Summary: Gabriel has been out of Heaven for five years now and living a fairly good life in the Nord Kingdom since, the Host just don't know it yet. The universe hates him, though and decides to make him cross paths with Balthazar, one of the few that would be able to see through his disguise. On top of that, that goes without saying he needs a new vessel fast, one nobody will recognize and he's been told Loki's the only one who can-will-help. How rejoicing.
