See, that is what has been breaking my heart about Be Good Johnny Weir-the fact that a lot of the narrative arc seems to be aimed at winning at Nationals, winning at the Olympics, and I know that he didn't, and so watching him try and try and fail is hard for me. It's like, on some level I knew that for there to be winners, there also have to be losers in competitive sports, but I just want everyone to win! That said, it is both enlightening and inspiring to see him pick himself up again and again. The strength of will that takes is incredible to me.
