[getting into the car]
Stephanopoulos: Guess how much an HP 15C costs on eBay.
Jamison: An HP 15C?
Stephanopoulos: An HP 15C.
Richmund: Please tell me it is less than five bucks.
Jamison: Five hundred dollars.
Stephanopoulos: Close. Three hundred dollars.
Richmund: You've got to be kidding me.

heh. I could use another 48G; the power-on button on mine has gone intermittent.
On the other hand, if I can get $300 for my 15C .... I virtually never use it any more, I'd gladly turn it into $300.

I do note, however, that there's others on eBay considerably below $300. Most of them seem to sell for between $150 and $250, though I did see two that went for $360 and $400 BIN, and one as-new-in-original-box that fetched $710.

For a "new, in the box one"?

Also, are you thinking of selling yours? I do have a serious buyer living in my house, but he won't pay $300 for it. If you're interested in talking about it, /m me or drop me some mail or something.

I can't count the number of times I've thought "it would be nice to have a good calculator for when I am reading in bed and need to do math".

(Actually, I'm lying - that would be 'zero'.)

Me too. I thought the slide rule comment was pretty funny and earned a lot of nerd points, but it was the "for when I am reading in bed and need to do math" comment that really killed me. It is a measure of how geeky my friends are that this is the first comment to point this out.
