Oh wow, that was so awesomely real.

...like I mean, obviously not, since it's an AU about a werewolf, but just. You really captured the emotions and the moments, and there were just enough details to make it real and not exactly pleasant in some parts without taking away that happy fuzzy feeling you get after reading a good fairytale.

Thank you! That's what I was going for, realism without, you know, losing sight of the fact that it is a werewolf fairy tale AU.

I'm glad you liked it. :)

Thank you! This was a year, year-and-a-half in the writing, and I'd like to think it's paid off from the way everyone's reacting to it.

I'm glad you liked it. :)

Thank you! That was the main struggle for me: writing something that still sounded like *me*, while also sounding genre-appropriate. And it took me a year, because it was a pain in the ass.

I'm glad you liked it. :)

Ohhh, I was so hoping for coherence. I wanted to talk about the gorgeous imagery and how much I adore the fairy tale rhythm of the words. I should've made notes.

Now all I've got is some ASLKDJHFAS with a little *WEEPS* and *obscene babbling*, with lots of *FLAIL* in between.

It hurts, it's so wonderful. Seriously, I'm dizzy and stupid with how much I loved this.

There is nothing wrong with incoherent feedback! It really means it's either really great or terrible, and I'm going to guess you mean the former this time.

I'm very glad you liked it! *hugs*

I am new to the whole fbr-bandom genre, and I am usually perplexed by AUs, but I am glad I stuck with this one. There were two little things that were like bookends around the piece that made it memorable for me: in the beginning, first: "If you kill me in my sleep," he muttered [...] "it's no less than I deserve.", and then: "He has a fine coat of red-gold fur". The first thing because it immediately made me think of the non-fictious Patrick's mannerisms in the few interviews I've seen, and the second thing because I was skimming quickly to the end of the story and that bit yanked me back in and I was like, "Awwwwww." It was such a sweet little detail that hadn't been mentioned explicitly earlier. Honestly wolf-on-wolf loving is not my particular cup of tea, but I do love fairy tales and I think you did a great job of blending the style of two classics, the fairy tale and the fanfic hurt/comfort genre. You should feel like you really accomplished something, this was quite nice and thoughtfully written. Oh, and the thing about the ( ... )
