[INEVITABLE ENCOUNTER a billion edits]icequeen_aranAugust 26 2010, 14:08:15 UTC
After last night's SPACE ENCOUNTER WITH AN OLD FRIEND, Samus was tired, irritable, broody and trying her best not to show it. Despite all that, she still decided to be AN AVID LURKER OF PHYSICS as usual and Ionia's absence was noted. Especially after hearing from Dougie Dearest she was NOT PLEASED WITH HIM. And such, Samus set forth to do what she does best and hunt the target down. If she could find Ionia, it would be the perfect opportunity to talk to her while Falcon was busy teaching. NO BOYS ALLOWED OKAY.
She did not expect to find Ionia with significantly less hair.
"You'll wake up with bed head." Samus warned, and combed her hand through her bangs to demonstrate so that it was sticking up in an unruly fashion. "Like this."
Samus knew that if Ionia was anything like her, she'd end up doing it anyway just to experience it first hand.
Yyyyep. It was safe to say Ionia was gonna be wandering the halls with some crazy-looking hair the next day.
For the time being, she just giggled. "Did you get it a lot when you had short hair?" It was hair to picture Samus with anything but the usual sleek, tightly-pulled-back long longs, admittedly, even with the nice little visual aid.
That got a giggle out of Ionia. "I have seen it sometimes too! On the weekends that I get to stay over, he sometimes--"
She stopped herself there. Not talking to Papa, apparently, also meant not talking about Papa. There were not going to be any more sleepovers if she had her way. She was ~independent~ and ~grown up~ and sick of devoting herself to somebody who couldn't tell her something as basic as his own identity, after all.
"I am not moving with him," she announced suddenly.
Again, Samus knew she was hitting her mark. She knew it would be unwise to press too hard, too fast, and that Ionia would best understand any consequences of her rebellious acts of individual FREEDOM on her own. Experience was, after all, the best teacher. Then again, this school worked in crazy ways. Only time would tell if Ionia would decide to talk to Falcon again sooner or later.
That didn't mean Samus wouldn't be able to make a statement or try to give some advice. If the blonde had still been walking at this point, she stopped and crouched down on one leg so she was very level with the blue-haired girl.
"You don't have to. He would probably say the same thing." Whether Ionia would listen or not was another story entirely. "Falcon isn't perfect. I can't promise you he'll tell you everything you want to hear. But I can tell you that when you're ready for him, he'll be waiting for you."

"...Ionia?"

"If I went to bed with wet hair." She reiterated. "I think I've caught Falcon a few times with some bad bedhead. Before it got shaved off, anyway."
