[Just as the sun begins to set, when it seems like most of the chaos has subsided, there's suddenly a new sound amidst the cacophony the earthquake has brought. Cries; cries that sound explicitly not human, from roars to gurgles, to battle cries in a foreign tongue. Following these cries are the demons who made them, wanting nothing more than to

So Matsumoto heads towards the source of the loudest buzzing, her eyes peeled for the source.
It's not long until she spots one. Like and yet unlike a Hollow.]
Hello, ugly.

The Nekomata on the other hand is thrashing, having never accounted a spell like this before. She hisses before starting to cast another spell-- and then simply explodes into flames.
When the smoke clears from the explosion, Matsumoto will be able to see a man dressed in a green haori, with geta on his feet. Naoya has quite the smile on his face. ]
They're not too intelligent either.

He's not attacking, and wouldn't seem threatening at all if it wasn't for his smile and the utter comfort he exhibits in the situation, and she instantly places him as the most dangerous threat. But that doesn't mean that he's the most imminent -- and she tilts her hilt to the side, redirecting the ash to sweep back again towards the Abbadons. It's still spread out in a single line, cresting up like a tidal wave to grind them down to dust.]
They seemed to think differently.

He'll just stand there watching.]

You're the one who summoned them. What do you want?
((Hitsu will likely tag in after you!))
Reply
Is that what she told you?
[He thinks for a moment-- it's not in his style to lie, but he won't confirm it in so many words either.]
Who says I want anything?
[ooc: Kay!]

His sword is drawn when he arrives -- no sense being caught flat-footed -- and there's a moment before he makes his presence known when he just listens. Great, a summoner. Can't he just get an old-fashioned Espada? A few Hollows?
He steps into a short flash step, so as to appear between -- and slightly to the side of -- Matsumoto and the summoner. He'll just made an entrance here and he's keeping a tight lid on his reiatsu. He glances at Matsumoto, then turns his attention to the summoner. He'll give his lieutenant more attention later; she's still standing and Haineko's ash is still around, so it's not like she needs immediate attention.]
If you're summoning something, you want something. Who the hell are you?
[Yeah, you attacked his lieutenant, ( ... )

Something about the set of her shoulders relaxes when Hitsugaya comes into view, but other than that she doesn't acknowledge him. She does, however, call Haineko back into her sealed state, and the sword reappears in her hand.]

I don't. [He really doesn't-- he just wanted to see how well the demons would fare here, and who could possibly beat them. Naoya's just collecting data in a sense.]
I don't answer questions for free. [Then directed at Matsumoto:] However, since you beat that bunch of demons, I suppose an answer is adequate.
Naoya.
Reply
Well enough, then. I don't have questions for you. [That's not entirely true, but Hitsugaya doesn't want to waste breath asking things that might not be answered.]
Get rid of your demons and get out. [Now the sword's tip is raising, moving to point directly at Naoya's chest. He doesn't have to threaten that he'll try to enforce his orders, not in so many words; the sword will make it implicit.]

...oh, but she wants to ask.]

[In a blink, he'll be teleporting back a good distance, out of range of a sword slash.]
All I did was open the portal. [As if to punctuate his statement, more cries of demons are heard in the distance. They're pouring out fairly regularly.
He looks at Matsumoto again: ]
Did you have another question?
Reply
It's not a smart idea to let loose something you can't control.
[His attention will wander for a moment, toward the cries in the distance. Damn it. As if they didn't have enough to worry about.]
Reply
Why are you doing this?
[She doesn't expect a straight answer, but if he had a reason that could be in any way acceptable... if not, they have a responsibility to stop him.]

It's a shame then, that the person who can control them isn't here. [But his tone doesn't sound like it's a shame at all, he's enjoying this. As for the control issue, Naoya is half-lying as he can command a group of them.
Matsumoto's cocked eyebrow makes his grin grow wider. She's just amusing, or more amusing than Hitsugaya, at least.]
You could call it an experiment, I suppose. [An experiment of how his abilities fair here, an experiment on how the residents will react, on how the demons fair in Luceti, all of these things.
Well, and he's trolling. ]
Reply
What sort of experiment involves letting these things loose? [Granted, he doesn't know much about them -- Matsumoto's the one who fought them -- but he doesn't think any good will come of that answer. His eyes are narrowed as he's looking at Naoya: he's thinking how best to get around that apparent teleportation.]
