[ You can find Naoya on the outskirts of the forests, inspecting the various plants that are growing there. He almost seems gentle with them if you look carefully, and he's jotting down notes furiously, in what looks like code. He's not likely to notice you approaching until you're fairly close as he's absorbed in his work, glasses on his face.]

[Naoya looks up, red eyes glancing over the soldier standing before him. Dismissing him as a threat he returns to inspecting the plant , glancing underneath it's leaves.]

[ After jotting down more notes, Naoya looks up.]

[Sup Naoya, this is a Draco wandering around to take a look at his new surroundings but...what the hell is that boy doing. You're being watched, sir]

[ Naoya continues inspecting the various aspects of the plant in front of him. Once he's done however he looks up, having apparently noticed him sometime. Standing up, stretching his grey wings--]

" So you've found me, Draco."

I see you've caught on. You must be Naoya.

Indeed I am.

[He paused, folding his glasses and clipping them onto his yukata.]

Though I must say you found me sooner than I expected.

[He looks quite pleased by this]

[ Duke, being that he actually lives in the forest and somehow maintains his hair's healthy, unicorn-esque shine, unsurprisingly comes across Naoya at some point or another. Also unsurprisingly he just sort of stands and stares, watching.

He can has peeping? ]

[ ooc; As far as the spirits go, the FAQ covers the specific spirits under "Filial Magic?" For the Earth Spirit I don't think you need to be in any particular spot, just as long as there's land your character should be able to hear her voice.

[ Duke is the quiet peeping type, so Naoya doesn't quite notice him yet. He continues jotting down notes at a frantic pace, muttering a few things to himself as he moves on to another plant.]

[ooc: Ahh okay cool! And once they hear her he can start to learn magic...? I just wasnt sure what exactly and how powerful this magic was. Naoya is a powerful mage in canon but he needs this device to use it, and he doesnt have it naturally here :|. btw, i love duke <3.]

[ Hmm, strange. However, he's being gentle with the plants and that is a plus in Duke's book. For that reason he's going to stay a bit longer, and take two steps forward to get a better look. Darn kids and their darn inability to stay still. ]

[ ooc; I think that's how it works, yeah. As long as you follow the time guidelines it should be fine. /o/ And for power, I thiink it's supposed to be very weak at first since... they're just learning. Overall I don't believe the magic is particularly strong either, but how strong it is exactly you should probably ask the mods. From the descriptions it sounds like they're all more nature-bending than casting for destructive purposes. If that makes sense. /failhat

Aww. D: I love Naoya too, from the little I saw of him in the DS game. /needs to beat that. ]
