Yeah, stuff like this was why I always put Max in the Lawful Neutral column (because I'm the sort of person who assigns alignments to characters even when I know it doesn't fit the world). I like a bit of anti in my hero, and the fact that Max understood the stakes he was playing for and played for keeps was something I always respected, but he also clearly suffered from some moral myopia and just plain anger issues, besides the fact that his motives couldn't really be considered good (though he was at least mature enough to acknowledge that ( ... )
