True Blood: FIRST LOOK
With all the hype, all the pop-up ads appearing on my commonly perused websites, and most importantly, with the bold print stating that True Blood is by the same guy who did my beloved Six Feet Under, I expected this to be a lot better.

Okay, I admit, I only saw this because I was too late for PineApple Express. (And I've already seen pretty much everything else I care to see!)
And, surprisingly, this was an enjoyable little movie, minus the stupid animations that occasionally popped up here and there. The 'characters' were fairly likeable, and it was pretty compelling to watch ( Read more... ) -
dvd nightz: Definitely Maybe
The basic story is that this man has three past loves.. his nosy (bratty) child wants to indulge in the painstakingly long story of each of them, and then to ultimately find love for daddy dearest.
Don't get me wrong. It's a cute film. And, the ending was great. And the lead actor is adorable.
It was just way.way.way.too.long.

Finally rented Stop-Loss this weekend.
The bad Southern accents were enough to make me want to hit stop. But, I didn't.
Overall, good flick. Enjoyed it.
Ryan Phillipe is such a cutie.

I think I may be the last woman on earth to have not seen THIS flick.
I'm not really a Nick Sparks fan, but this movie was.. just.. precious.
Although, I admit, I didn't care for the ending. Heart-warming? Sure. Cheap? Yeah. Kind of.
Ill totally pick this up on DVD so I can rewatch it this weekend, and I'm way psyched to see Rachel McAdams in The ( Read more... ) -

OK. SO. The plot: Pierce Brosnan pops up in the backseat of this couple's car. He says he has their kid, and he will kill her if they don't do everything he asks for 24 hours... which includes withdrawing their entire savings, sacrificing their jobs, and... oh, yeah, killing a man.
Except, man, I didn't see that twist!
