I want to go this summer and do one of the overnight hiking trails... though I don't know if we're going to have the time... we only get 1 week vacation, and Michel wants to go to North Rustico, PEI.
An overnight should still be doable, you live fairly close to Fundy don't you? It was really worth it to go, we all loved it and spent the evenings saying things like, 'I'm so glad we came' or 'this is great!'. We thought of the two of you at some point over the weekend.
His family used to go there for vacations when he was little. And his grandfather owns a place there that is empty... that the family crashes at when they go.
I miss Muir Woods (near where I used to live) it was alot like that. Amazing how we take our beautiful surroundings for granted until we are surrounded by nothing with an elevation above 200ft.
It is beautiful! You made it to NY so, maybe you will make it to Canada some day. :) Every place has it's own charm though. I'm sure where you live, there are lots of pretty places.
I really expected to see a fairy while I was there. Everything was just so lush and bright green, if there really are fairies, some of them must live there. :)
Wow, that is just breathtaking. I love all the green! The waterfall is really fantastic, but I think it's all the vibrant moss everywhere that makes it look magical. I think my favorite is this one. You take good pics. I'm always disappointed with the way my camera doesn't seem to do nature justice.
It was definitely the moss that made it look magical! I'd never seen so many things all covered in bright green moss, it was amazing. My pics are decent, my old camera broke and I ended up getting a nicer camera for the same price. It worked out well for the trip! :) I assure you that my pics don't do the area justice either. In person is always the best way to see nature.
