I am in the military deployed overseas. At the dining facility where we eat, there is a requirement to wash your hands before you eat. And I can understand why. No problem there. There are sinks and paper towels and soap so you can do it conveniently before going inside ( Read more... )

The issues I can think of where I got upset about interpretation of rules, my upset was always quite valid. Issues being someone decides to misinterpret rules, take a power play and some discrimination so I lose my job, even though first offence is explicitly stated to warrant the person with the issue "sitting down and talking with the offender". I seriously should have sued ( ... )

I once went into a handicapped restroom in a Target store to change my t-shirt. I didn't even latch the door (so I didn't even handle the knob thing). I changed, came out, and as I was exiting, I heard this woman say to a girl (about 8) who I presume was her daughter, "Don't ever be nasty and not wash your hands like that gross woman." I went back inside and said, "I just changed my shirt without touching any part of the door handle. That's all. Sanitary lessons are great for your kids but teaching them to assume things and mess in other people's business, especially when you're flat out wrong isn't."

I loved saying that to her in front of her kid. It was fun.
