I dated my wife for 3 years before we got engaged. Today is our 2nd anniversary, btw. ;)

I could very easily see creating a long term commitment after only a few months of dating, provided that the relationship was involved enough to feel like a great deal of understanding had been conveyed in that period. From the mastermind perspective, why wait longer if you have all the information you need to establish a detailed scenario with contingencies?

Indeed. While I always like to tread carefully when in new territory--or any territory, really--I did appreciate that scene in A Beautiful Mind where Nash asks his paramour if they can simply have intercourse.

I'm a female INTJ and married. I met my husband about three years ago, and we began going out less than 24 hours after we met. We shared an instant, undeniable connection that only grew stronger as time wore on. This was strange for me as usually I would either have short, meaningless flings or long, complicated entanglements enmeshed with each other. I never thought I'd get married, and I always figured that even if a guy wanted to marry me, my desire to remain child-free would drive him away. This turned out not to be an issue as he did not want children either, so we never had to have the "decide what's more important" conversation ( ... )

I'm single but most of my past relations were of the very slow variety. Although it could be that I was just slow to admit they were not working.

I met Chris, an ISTP, on Janurary 6 of this year. He was with someone else and we became friends quickly. Somewhere between Janurary 6 and Feburary 28 I fell in love with him but kept it quiet because of his other relationship. We stayed friends until May 1 when he moved in with me for a month between apartments. On May 6 it got very cold and our heat went out. I told him to come sleep with me since it was so cold and I didn't have alot of blankets. After three nights, on May 9, we kissed, he broke up with his girlfriend of the time. On May 12 I told him I was going to marry him, cause I knew I was and on July 14 I proposed formally ( ... )

my intuition (infallible) + particularly intense connection with someone (rare) + 6 months (substantial time period) = ...I could see it happening.
