These aren't "online" so they don't really count, but I found tests in Keirsey's "Please Understand Me II" (a 4-letter type test, and an "intelligence" test which attempts to sort your preferences among his 4 types of intelligence, each one corresponding to a temperament). Lenore Thomson's book "Personality Type: An Owner's Manual" contains a test in the beginning too.
I'm sure both could be converted into online tests (copyright issues preventing)

At best, such assessments are about 70% accurate -- which means it's quite common for one or more of the letters to be wrong. So... it's not a good idea to rely on assessments, and it's better to embark on a path of self-discovery. It's good to learn about the model and the principles behind it so that you may self-select a best-fit code for yourself. BTW, I'm a practitioner & Life Coach who assists people in doing just that. This comment sounds like an advertisement for your services. I have checked into your lj activity and noted that you have no posts, no friends, and, of the sampling of comments I have seen in other people's journals, only comments on posts about personality quizes which all direct towards your websites. This raises alarm bells as to your purpose in this forum.

I IDENTIFIED myself in my comment -- I did not ADVERTISE myself. I simply answered your question, and I have the expertise to do so with some authority. If you had not required commenters be members of livejournal.com, I would have posted anonymously instead. My usual blog is on Blogger.com. I further invite you to check out those other websites I have promoted, and notice the LACK of advertising on them. I daresay you'll be astonished by the amount of FREE information I share. I appreciate how the internet causes a certain amount of suspicion and cynicism, but not everybody is out to get you -- some of us actually try to benefit others.

In any case.. they have pretty decent descriptions of the 16 types here: http://www.personalitypage.com/high-level.html
Only gripe I have is that they mostly only tell the "good" stuff about each type..
