Today marks the birth anniversary of one of my very favorite people on the planet. Since there's really no way to adequately describe how awesome she is and I fail at coherent flowery speech anyway, I wrote this. I hope you like it, Ceej! I adore your face.

I love fandom! Awesome people have birthdays and we all get to enjoy the presents.

This is fantastic. Every single bit about Ryan made me ache. He's so tangled, lost in his own denial. I want to smack him and comfort him and order him to get his head on straight. And then Shia! Oh, he made me smile. He makes this story hopeful and sweet.

Thank you for sharing this! I enjoyed it so much.

Also, yeah, that's pretty much how I feel about Ryan Ross on a daily basis.

Man, I really loved this. I wish there was more. I agree, the juxtaposition of the povs was great, and Shia, and his burgeoning affection for Brendon, really lifted this piece. I also loved how Brendon's presence was everywhere, how Ryan knew him for so long so he could recall so many of Brendon's different phases and looks, and how Shia discovered all these wonderful things about him; his laugh and his smile. Just, all round this was excellent.

Thank you very much. I was actually really stumped as to how to get what I needed to say on the page without sounding too preachy and/or ~~artistic, and I figured the only way to show the deconstruction of a relationship would be to show it from two sides. I wanted Brendon to be the focal point for the stories Ryan and Shia had to tell, and I'm glad that worked for you!
