Not sure with Casey - I always planned to have her get kidnapped and have Fish go rescue her which would cement their relationship and clear up a lot of the plot behind the people gunning after her. But the opportunity never materialized. Never even got to really reveal who was after her.
Ameryll - I figure she made it back home eventually. Do you think she dragged Sputnik with her?
And I agree, that we shouldn't've taken Anaryn and Nicholas where we did. If the game had lasted longer, we might've been able to retcon it so that she did something else awful to him.
He'd have to get past the chip in his head in order to do so. (otherwise Celi's ship might not be able to take off either!) Could definitely see him referencing a certain buffy episode with a mental asylum.
Ooooh, that was brilliantly well done! I really miss writing with you guys. o.o
I have this horrible tendency of never quite managing to conclude my own characters' stories - I just keep going back to them over and over again (for years, seriously), coming up with new ideas that will never be written, lol. At present, Sayuri gets out of the Clans altogether and eventually becomes a J-Pop star (which sounds so ridiculous when I say it like that, but it totally makes sense in my head, I promise!). Arella's harder, because there are just so many directions I could have gone after the mess with Elle; she definitely took off and left Megatokyo for a while, to figure out just what happened and how to deal with it, but after that... I dunno, what do you think she would have done? :p
I think she definitely would want someone to talk to about what had been done to her. I could see her visiting Nicholas and Anaryn for a while. Possibly contacting Ash via seance after finding out what Ash had done. I bet Arella's a sucker for heroic sacrifice.
I really miss TC as well. Been having fun reading over the archives lately. I learned so much about how to put together a good roleplaying game from there, and had a blast doing it.
Oooh, Arella likes the idea of visiting Nicholas and Anaryn, they would be good people to talk to. She definitely misses Ash, I could see her trying a seance or something - she feels like she could talk to Ash about anything, so that would help (plus, she'd wanna make sure her friend is okay in the afterlife and all that, and the other dead folks are being nice to her, lol). She's definitely a sucker for heroic sacrifice - I just hope Ash could handle the crying, lol.
I've been over the archives a few times, myself; on top of learning a lot, I got to write with some truly fantastic people (like yourself :p). It's definitely the people that make the rp, even more so than the story. :)
We miss MegaTokyo too, and you can ask BozoCat how much I revisit our old characters :-) I don't like endings either, but we left them in such a bad place, that I felt we had to resolve them. But that being said, I do have plans to write some 'fanfic' as BozoCat's been calling it for Anaryn and Nicholas' wedding.
Sorry, didn't successfully manage to post this as a reply to you. A little distracted.
- Anaryn's always claimed that the flashy thing didn't work on her or she would use it on herself to forget the holocaust. - I *think* we've handled it acceptably for people who have had such things happen to them. (I have fortunately never been the victim of said crime, but I have relatives who have) but I'll leave it up to Neko how he'd like to handle in his journal - I have it marked as dealing with dark topics on my end. - During the demon invasion it was never stated, but implied what had happened when Sareth asked.
A trigger warning is where you put a statement at the top of a post, letting people know that said post contains things that may trigger flashbacks or severe emotions in someone who has been a victim of something that's in the post, like, for instance in this one, rape. Usually bolded to make sure it is seen.
It's very helpful to those who might otherwise stumble on a post like this and end up having flashbacks or an anxiety attack, because they weren't expecting to come across something that would remind them of the bad thing they experienced.
