Is it really true that opposites attract...I mean I guess it can be. In my most recent relationship it was definatly true, its also true that because our lives were so vastly different despite the love, and the attraction to be a part of what the other had as part of their life it just cannot be?! So is it a good thing or a bad thing that opposites

1. Opposites attract because we hate the people who are most like us because we see our worst qualities in them.
2. Opposites have differing viewpoints. Therefore, if this person is opposite of you, what you may see as a huge deal may, to them, be something "normal" or insignificant.
3. It takes practice, and a journal.
4. People are only tied down by what they see as important. If you think about your life, think about what makes you happy where you currently are, and contrast that against what you feel is "tying you down", you'll find that really, the tying down things aren't that important. You could probably pick up and leave and people, places, things would be fine. They'd survive. Not to say that you're not important, just not...erm...hmmm. It's like an engine. You break one part, it'll keep running for awhile until you get a new one. Eh?
