New Address, New Apartment, New Life View

I'm all moved into my new apartment but not unpacked!  We worked all day yesterday and completely cleaned the empty apartment when I got moved out.  I'm glad that I cleaned it yesterday because I was wiped OUT today.  I would not have wanted to go back and do the cleaning today.
The new apartment is definitely better!  I've got a washer and dryer IN

Aw c'mon. You have time for a picture or two. I want to see all your stuff moved in. I never saw pics of your old place I don't think.

Yeah, I don't think I ever really posted many pics from inside my old apartment. It wasn't awful, but I didn't like it. I felt that it was embarrassing. My daughter did take pictures of the entire apartment before I moved into it though - (the one I just moved out of.) Maybe I'll post those when I have enough time. I'll post pics of the new apartment too but there's not much to see right now. Tan carpet, tan walls, tan tile, white doors and mouldings and a lot of boxes stacked around. Typical apartment complex look but I'm so happy to be here!

It's so good to "hear" that note of optimism in your voice and it's my hope for you that it may be sustained and strengthened on the basis of your experiences in the days ahead.

It's also interesting that you're the second of my LJ friends, both single, professional women, both working very courageously to meet and overcome life's challenges, to have made such a major change in her living environment and found it to be greatly to her liking and advantage.

I admire both of you and hope that your initiative and hard work may continue to be rewarded...

Oh thank you! It's amazing how much the apartment has changed my attitude about my life! It makes me feel like I'm actually accomplishing something for a change and not just spinning my wheels. It's progress! FINALLY!

I don't think any place is ever perfect, but if you find the best parts and enjoy and build on those, which it sounds like you are doing, it can work. All the best in your new home. Can't wait to hear more about it.

Thank you! Right now, my job is still totally consuming my life. I've got to find time to use this pool before the summer is over and I definitely need to start walking again!
