SUMMARY: Hatred turned to love, silence turned to seeking and lies become truth. Kota just hit the rock bottom making him realize that memories should not remained unlock. He seek for truth, he yearned for what really happened and why things are going this and that. But what if he is going further to what is already near to him? Is everything gone too late to change? Everyone is given curiosity and so will you open the box as well?

Chapter 13
"Sports"
“I don’t care in what way you will do it but I want you to loss this game.” Tsubaki Torio, a 3-D student, told Chihiro Aki a 3-B student as he cornered him at the back of the gymnasium. “I want this, I want to win the marathon. This is not a command Chihiro, this is an order coming from me."
“Bu…but… my scholarship depends on this I can’t… just do that.” Chihiro answered him but he received a kick on the stomach and then a punch in the face. “Please stop this Torio."
“Are you disobeying me? Do you want me to show those people that embarrassing picture that you have? It seems like you have forgotten who you are talking to. I don't care about your scholarship… I want to win that game and so you need to quit." Torio told him again as he grab Chihiro with his hair and he give him an insulting laugh. Chihiro was crying, he wanted Torio to stop bullying him but no matter what he do he don't leave his side.
"Torio… please…" he cried but Torio just slap his face again and then that's the time heard some rustling sound from the bushes. Someone just saw what he did to Chihiro and he didn't like that at all. He let go of Chihiro's hair and walk towards the bushes.
He slowly went to the bushes and then look at the back of it but he didn't saw anyone but he knew someone heard their conversation. He was about to go back to Chihiro when something caught his attention. It was a bracelet which is familiar to him. "It seems like I knew who the culprit is…" he whispered as he licked his upper lips.

Ryosuke run as fast as he can without noticing that he will going to bump to Yuya who just finished his game. "I…I'm sorry." he apologized.
"Ryo, are you alright?" Yuya asked him.
"Yu…Yuya." he murmured. "I… I'm sorry… I need to go…" Ryosuke continued but Yuya grab his hand stopping him from going away.
"Are you alright? You look scared, something happened to you?"
Ryosuke pulled his hand away from Yuya "I..it's nothing. I need to go back to my position." he said as he run away from him.
Today is 3rd day of the Keiren's Sports Festival. It is a week long celebration which showcase the physical ability and sportsmanship of the students. Each students should have a sport that will join and compete with the other students from other classes and level. The sports are soccer, basketball, baseball, swimming, chess, marathon, 50m dash, volleyball and tennis.
Ryosuke is part of the sports committee who are responsible on checking each place where the games are held. On his way to the pool where the swimming is held he pass though the back of the gymnasium where he accident heard the conversation between Torio and Chihiro. He was so shocked about it that he just hides himself in the bushes. Torio came from the same junior high as he was and he knew how he do things. He was the most fearful student in the school and he himself is scared of him because he ones been bully by that guy. By just hearing his voice it already gives shiver all over his body. He is the number one guy that he didn't want to see and talk to. Even he wanted to save Chihiro that time, he can't do it because of fear.
When Ryosuke got tired from running, he stop and rested. While looking at his wrist watch to check what time it is already he noticed that the bracelet that he used to wear is missing. Hikaru give him back his bracelet the other day but now it was missing again. "W…where is my bracelet?"

“Hikaru, here is a towel for you.” Kei handed the white towel on Hikaru who just substituted out for a moment.. Hikaru get it and wipe his sweat away as the whistle started to beep. It’s the 2nd quarter and the game is already getting intense. It is 3-A vs. 3-B’s class in basketball team and HIkaru’s class was losing by 3 points
“Hikaru, don’t slack off. Our class is losing.” Kota said as he eat some candy bar while watching the game.
“Shut up besides why the hell are you here? you should be playing right now.” Hikaru asked.
“Yabu’s game was already finished. Our soccer team win and everything is because of him.” Kei said as he offered Hikaru a drink. “Don’t mind him, I know our team will win but if not then it’s fine as well. I guess 3-A are really great not only at academics but also sports.”
“Don’t say that Kei please.” Hikaru muttered. “I will win, I need to fight against Yuya.” He told to himself.
Kei tilted his head as he look for someone. "Yabu, did you see Ryo? He was not here?" Kei asked Kota who looks like he doesn't care.
"I don't know." Kota lazily replied.
“He said that he will go to the pool area where he was assigned to check." Hikaru answered. "That guy is so busy since he became part of the sports committee." The whistle blow again and the coach asked Hikaru to come back to the game again. Kei cheered for Hikaru to do his best and Hikaru give him a victory sign.
Kota observed Kei from the back. It's been days since he was discharge from the hospital and he act like nothing happened at all. He knew himself that something happened that time that he visit but it seems like it really didn't happened on Kei's part. Since that day that he heard it, he can't sleep at all. His words keep on repeating on his mind wondering if he just joking or not. After Kei said those words, Noren came in and since then he didn't hear anything from him anymore and also he can't help himself to ask about it.

Ryosuke was checking the attendance of the players in the volleyball game but he is still conflicted about what happened that morning. He can't concentrate on what he is doing and wonder what he should do. A member of the sports committee approached and told him something. “Yamada-sempai.” Alen called, a junior of him and someone who really admired him. “Look at this." he give Ryosuke a piece of paper where there are something written on it. "It came from Chihiro-sempai of your class. He said that he will not perform in the marathon tomorrow. He said that he quit without any valid reason."
"Ch…Chihiro?" Ryosuke repeated.
"The other officials are worried about it as well. they know that Chihiro-sempai was excited for tomorrow since some universities sports officials will going to watch. If they saw him doing great then he can attract an official who wanted to let him play in their team as a varsity with the benefit of being an scholar. To quit just like this… maybe he have a deeper reason behind."
Ryosuke remembered again about Torio and his conversation with Chihiro and he knew the reason behind Chihiro's action. "I… I'm sorry Alen, but can you handle this case. You should talk to Chihiro the reason behind his actions a…and convince him not to do that."
“Eh? But Yamada-sempai. I think you are the best one to talk to him. I mean… you are the class president of your class right and also… I don't think he will listen to me since I am just a junior." Alen said.
"J…just do it. I… I have something to do." Ryosuke said with a trembling voice. He walk away from Alen and go to a place where no one can see him. He wanted to be alone. His mind is filled with so much thought that he can't concentrate.

“Hikaru, congratulation on winning.” Yuya congratulated Hikaru when he met Kei, Hikaru and Kota. They just came out from the gymnasium and they are ready to go to the cafeteria to have some snack.
“Yosh, I will win on our game Yuya.” Hikaru claimed.
“Don’t be so proud of yourself. You just win with a point difference. It’s not something to boost about." Yuya teased. "So where are you going?"
“We're going to have some snack." Kei answered. "You want to come with us?" he offered but then he jolted when he heard someone shouted just near them. The 4 of them approached the group of student who shouted and they are all looking up high. They also look up and saw one student standing at the rooftop planning to jump over it.
"I… isn't that Chihiro of track team?" a voice asked. "Wh..what is he planning to do?"
"Call some teacher!" Yuya commanded those students as he, Hikaru and Kota went inside the building to reach the rooftop. Kei stayed there to look after Chihiro and try to convince him not to jump. The building is 5 floor in height and the 3 is climbing upstairs as fast as they can. On their way Yuya stop for a moment when he saw Krono and Alen walking together. "Krono, prepare a cushion below." he told him.
“Huh? Why?” Krono asked him still raising her right eyebrow.
“Just do it!” Yuya shouted on him and he followed Hikaru and Kota going at the rooftop. Krono and Alen look outside and they saw that there are lots of students below and they are all looking up high. They both saw Chihiro standing at the corner like he was planning to commit suicide. A student from the second year approach and told them about Chihiro's case of quitting in the marathon. They are both searching for him to talk to but they are not expecting that things are going worst.

“I… I… what should I do? I… I wanted to quit… I can't… I can't live like this anymore." Chihiro murmured as tears keep on falling from his eyes. All his life he was been a target of bully and when he thought everything will change in high school things turned out to be the same. "I. can't… I can't go on anymore. Th… there's no reason for me to live."
Kota and Hikaru reached the rooftop panting and tired. Kota immediately saw Chihiro starting at them and it seems like he is already prepared to jump. "Chihiro." Kota called his name. He knows that he was his classmate but he never tried to talk to him because he is so silent.
"Chihiro… don't jump!" Hikaru shouted on him. "What the hell are you thinking? If you have a problem suicide is not only the solution."
“Go away!” Chihiro shouted on them. "Don't stop me… I made up my mind. What's the point of living if I don't have reasons anymore. My family is too poor to send me studying. I am doing my best, working myself off just to sustained everything that I needed. The scholarship is really important to me but then..but then…if it will be taken away from me then…"
"You can talk about that to the administration for sure they can understand what you are going through." Hikaru tried to convince but Kota was just being silent in the corner. One wrong choice of words will be critical since Chihiro's thought are all scrambled already. He saw a bruise on his cheek and he noticed that he was limping.
"Leave me alone!"
"Are you being bullied?" Kota asked him. "If you want us to help you then you should stop this."
Chihiro startled when he heard what Kota said and then he remembered again everything that Torio did to him. All the hurting and bullying he experience in his hand. "Stop this!" he shouted again. "I want to die!"
In Kota's mind something lighted up. He heard that same word in his memory. A voice of fragile little boy wanting to give up his life already.
“Chihiro, don’t do this!” Hikaru shouted again and that time Yuya arrived as well.
“I’m sorry… goodbye." Chihiro jumped of the building but Yuya was able to grabbed his hand. "L… let go of me." he struggled.
"You asshole, don't struggle." Yuya groaned. "Hope didn't leave your side yet so why are you giving up? A person I know who is being bullied before was now moving with his life. If he can do it then you can do it as well. You don't know how great that you were given a life so why not appreciate it." Yuya tried to pull Chihiro up when the latter calms down but he was heavy for him that he signaled Hikaru for help. Hikaru was on his way towards him when Yuya foot slip and the two of them falls down.
"Yuya!" Hikaru shouted as he look down. He felt relief when they are caught by a futon prepared by Krono and the other student. The two was brought in the clinic since Chihiro loss conscience and Yuya got some scratch because of the fall. Kota, Hikaru, Yuya and Kei was brought in the principal's office for some interrogation since they are witness of what happened. Krono and Alen also reported something to the principal and after getting all the information they are sent away.

Ryosuke continued to search for his missing bracelet when he heard about the accident that happened from the other students. He heard that Yuya got involved in Chihiro's suicidal and they both fall down the building and fortunately they were save and just receive slight injury. Ryosuke immediately search for Yuya to see his situation but he didn't look long since he saw him together with Hikaru and Krono.
"Ryo, where did you go? We are searching for you all this time." Hikaru complained. "Have you heard what happened? About Chihiro?"
"I…I did." Ryosuke briefly answered as he look at Yuya who have some bandage on his face and hand. He felt a sudden pain in his chest. He knew it was his fault. If only he didn't hide the truth, if only he talk to Chihiro then he will not be suicidal and Yuya will not be caught in between. "I…I…"
"Yamada, I know you are busy but as a class president you should also look after your classmate. Did you know about Chihiro's case? It seems like he is been a target of bully." Krono told him.
"I… I'm sorry." Ryosuke apologized. Yuya noticed Ryosuke's trembling and he know that there is something wrong with him.
"Krono, I'll talk to him. You and Hikaru just need to go." Yuya said.
"Are you sure?" Hikaru asked him back.
"Just go." Yuya said like he was pushing them away. "Ryo, you know something about this right?"
"Eh? O…of course not."
"Don't lie."
"I told you I didn't know!" Ryosuke shouted on him. "Leave me alone."
"Where is your bracelet? The one you used to wear everyday."
"I…it's gone. I lost it."
"When?"
"It doesn't concern you anymore. I need to go… I'll excuse myself." Ryosuke said but Yuya blocked his way. "Yuya, please let me go."
"How can I will let you go if you are acting like this?" Yuya asked him back. "Something happened to you? No… there is something really happened to you right. You are always like this when there is something wrong. You are trembling, you can't look in the eye of the people you are talking to… you tried to avoid talking and just escape. I know you more than anyone else so it is obvious that I know what you are thinking right now. Is there someone… bullying you?"
Ryosuke jolted and then bite his lower lip. Tears started to fall from his eyes but he tried to wipe it away. "Wh...What should I do Yuya? I..it’s my fault. I… I… because I am scared i… ignore him."
"What do you mean?"
"I heard it. I heard his conversation to Torio. Torio was ordering him to give up the marathon and if not he was black mailing him. I… I wanted to help him but.. But… I was too afraid. Until now… I can't face Torio… i… I am scared of him." Ryosuke cried. "I run away… I close my eyes… bu…but…"
"Stop talking anymore." Yuya said. He walk slowly towards Ryosuke and he hug him tightly. He know what Ryosuke is talking about and he can understand him that time. Torio Aki is the worst nightmare Ryosuke have when they are still in elementary. After Yuya give up being a bully, it's Torio who change his position and he was worst than him. Torio is a crazy sadist who like to hear the cries of the person he is bullying and his favorite that time was Ryosuke. Torio did terrible things to Ryosuke and that creates a great phobia for him. He bullied Ryosuke, he give him death letter, he ruined his things and then the worst thing he do is when he hurt him and then lock him in the storage room for 3 days with his hand tied up and his mouth being covered by a dirty cloth so that he can’t call for help. He just found out when a janitor decided to clean the storage room. It cause a traumatic breakdown for Ryosuke that cause him fear towards school and people. Fortunately, after a time to recuperate, he was able to go back to school again and leave his life.
“You should tell the teachers about this.” Yuya told him.
“But…”
“Torio will not hurt you anymore. I will protect you so… do what you know is right.” Yuya said as he wipe the tears in Ryosuke's eyes. "You can trust me."
The next day Ryosuke reported about what Torio and Chihiro talk about. Chihiro finally break his silence as he tell everything that Torio did to him. Upon hearing the truth, Torio deserved to have a heavy punishment like being drop out of the school but since he is a graduating student, his punishment only includes being expelled for a week and school works that he need to do until he graduate.
The Sports Festival continued with Chihiro able to run in the marathon. He won the game and received great comments from the university officials. As to Yuya and Hikaru's game, Yuya's class win the game with a score of 90-88.

The two was brought in the clinic since Chihiro loss conscience and Yuya got some scratch because of the fall. Kota, Hikaru, Yuya and Kei was brought in the principal's office for some interrogation since they are witness of what happened. Krono and Alen also reported something to the principal and after getting all the information they are sent away.

Ryosuke continued to search for his missing bracelet when he heard about the accident that happened from the other students. He heard that Yuya got involved in Chihiro's suicidal and they both fall down the building and fortunately they were save and just receive slight injury. Ryosuke immediately search for Yuya to see his situation but he didn't look long since he saw him together with Hikaru and Krono.
"Ryo, where did you go? We are searching for you all this time." Hikaru complained. "Have you heard what happened? About Chihiro?"
"I…I did." Ryosuke briefly answered as he look at Yuya who have some bandage on his face and hand. He felt a sudden pain in his chest. He knew it was his fault. If only he didn't hide the truth, if only he talk to Chihiro then he will not be suicidal and Yuya will not be caught in between. "I…I…"
"Yamada, I know you are busy but as a class president you should also look after your classmate. Did you know about Chihiro's case? It seems like he is been a target of bully." Krono told him.
"I… I'm sorry." Ryosuke apologized. Yuya noticed Ryosuke's trembling and he know that there is something wrong with him.
"Krono, I'll talk to him. You and Hikaru just need to go." Yuya said.
"Are you sure?" Hikaru asked him back.
"Just go." Yuya said like he was pushing them away. "Ryo, you know something about this right?"
"Eh? O…of course not."
"Don't lie."
"I told you I didn't know!" Ryosuke shouted on him. "Leave me alone."
"Where is your bracelet? The one you used to wear everyday."
"I…it's gone. I lost it."
"When?"
"It doesn't concern you anymore. I need to go… I'll excuse myself." Ryosuke said but Yuya blocked his way. "Yuya, please let me go."
"How can I will let you go if you are acting like this?" Yuya asked him back. "Something happened to you? No… there is something really happened to you right. You are always like this when there is something wrong. You are trembling, you can't look in the eye of the people you are talking to… you tried to avoid talking and just escape. I know you more than anyone else so it is obvious that I know what you are thinking right now. Is there someone… bullying you?"
Ryosuke jolted and then bite his lower lip. Tears started to fall from his eyes but he tried to wipe it away. "Wh...What should I do Yuya? I..it’s my fault. I… I… because I am scared i… ignore him."
"What do you mean?"
"I heard it. I heard his conversation to Torio. Torio was ordering him to give up the marathon and if not he was black mailing him. I… I wanted to help him but.. But… I was too afraid. Until now… I can't face Torio… i… I am scared of him." Ryosuke cried. "I run away… I close my eyes… bu…but…"
"Stop talking anymore." Yuya said. He walk slowly towards Ryosuke and he hug him tightly. He know what Ryosuke is talking about and he can understand him that time. Torio Aki is the worst nightmare Ryosuke have when they are still in elementary. After Yuya give up being a bully, it's Torio who change his position and he was worst than him. Torio is a crazy sadist who like to hear the cries of the person he is bullying and his favorite that time was Ryosuke. Torio did terrible things to Ryosuke and that creates a great phobia for him. He bullied Ryosuke, he give him death letter, he ruined his things and then the worst thing he do is when he hurt him and then lock him in the storage room for 3 days with his hand tied up and his mouth being covered by a dirty cloth so that he can’t call for help. He just found out when a janitor decided to clean the storage room. It cause a traumatic breakdown for Ryosuke that cause him fear towards school and people. Fortunately, after a time to recuperate, he was able to go back to school again and leave his life.
“You should tell the teachers about this.” Yuya told him.
“But…”
“Torio will not hurt you anymore. I will protect you so… do what you know is right.” Yuya said as he wipe the tears in Ryosuke's eyes. "You can trust me."
The next day Ryosuke reported about what Torio and Chihiro talk about. Chihiro finally break his silence as he tell everything that Torio did to him. Upon hearing the truth, Torio deserved to have a heavy punishment like being drop out of the school but since he is a graduating student, his punishment only includes being expelled for a week and school works that he need to do until he graduate.
The Sports Festival continued with Chihiro able to run in the marathon. He won the game and received great comments from the university officials. As to Yuya and Hikaru's game, Yuya's class win the game with a score of 90-88.
