Well, I must say that's rather telling. You talk of "unity" in the same breath as you exclude people like me.
What unifies us is the need to be able to speak our minds, nothing less. The reason fandom even became an issue was because it was inadvertently attacked in the wake of the original assault. So now you think that it's "no longer a good thing" that the people who were the targets of it in the first place are addressing the true root cause of the problem so that it doesn't happen to anyone, that being the freedom to express ourselves without having to answer to the pressure of outsiders.
But hey, if you really want to close it down, go ahead. You're not under any obligation to keep it going. whydoesljcensor will continue to be up and running as long as there is a need for it, and from what I see that's probably going to be a while. If this place gets shut down I invite everyone to come on over there so we can continue with the work that needs to be done.
But one thing I must correct you about: this was never "against Livejournal". They

i think that it should close for the time being, by staying open it just seems to be attracting conspiracy theories which take the seriousness away from the community, something this strong should be kept for when it is really needed and not abused as it has been recently.
I agree with the above comment...there has been some bickering, but it's by FAR the exception to the rule here. People are unifying and working together, and some of us are researching and trying to find information about journals that are still unsuspended, and if this community shuts down and doesn't allow us to post, then why did someone post this morning asking for us to help her/him collect information on still-suspended journals? What was the point of that if this community is just going to close down? I understand that bickering doesn't help the cause, but neither does shutting the place to ALL discussion. I hope someone else can take over the moderation if that's what needs to happen, because I want this community to stay open.
I just thought I should note that the troll post that came after you posted this is rather suspiciously timed. You say you're going to shut down this group unless people stop bickering, and immediately after, an inflammatory troll post pops up. Methinks someone wants us to shut down...
That's what trolls do. They're like cockroaches -- they're people with nothing better to do, who get into a community and post that kind of gunk and won't leave. Then if the community does decide to shut down, for that or other reasons, they can congratulate each other on how they put a stop to the "drama". This is their entertainment. Seems this one got stomped though, which is encouraging.
I thought this community was about the freedom of expression. If this was just someone's way of getting their own precious rights back while not giving a damn about others, I have made a great error in joining this place. Please inform me of exactly what this place was meant to fight for.
(No, I am not a pedo. The mere thought of it squicks me. No, I'm not into twincest, or incest, or furries, or any other "kinks" for that matter. I am into freedom, and I am into the idea of companies actually giving a damn about their paying customers.)
This comm is meant to bring FANDOM together. It was meant to bring a SPECIFIC fandom together in the first place, but then more and more people joined, and more and more people posted, and more and more people started telling us what this place was supposed to be about.
You need to change the community information to reflect that, then, since you're not "here to fight for the freedoms of the internet that we all hold dear, whether it be under a name some find offensive or a name politically correct enough to stand the test of time."

This. Is. Not. Just. About. Fandom.
