I love this so much, and the ending is divine. Dean's weirdo girlfriend HEE! Sammy's utterly adorable in this, his attempts to get Dean a date, coupled with that final realisation, oh man, so cute.
You're SO easy to read. I just sat here and read that all in one go, and it was light-hearted and adorable and (as usual) so deftly and exactly in character, Dean negotiating his way between Sam and his Dad, finding his one true love in the Impala. John, impossible to understand from a teenagers point of view, but affectionate and good humoured amidst the grump.
I loved Sam's tummy pudge, and how hard he tried to evade its detection, but that he was quick on his feet and good at dancing after so many years of drills.
This was so enjoyable, I feel all happy now, even knowing that Sam's going to have to say goodbye to Pete, too, one of these days. THANK YOU.
I really enjoyed this. I'm not sure which twist I liked better, that Dean's girl was really the Impala (hee! I was thinking succubus, or something, part of the time) or that Sam really likes Pete better than Jaime. I also really loved the Sam-John relationship in this.
You know, one thing that never made much sense to me in 10 Things I Hate about You was how devoted the friend was to seeing his friend get the girl. I thought it would be much more interesting to see what happened if the two boys got together instead.
This whole fic cracked me up; I love Sam's snarky POV. I chuckled at at so many lines - the whole first dancing session in the gym is a highlight. Really, I was smiling throughout the whole thing. And John and Dean, they were so cute and teasing (from his POV) with Sammy. I remember being teased in that 'merciless' "let's-gang-up-on-the-youngest" way. *g* Great story!
