I've just used Facebook to invite over 50 people to my birthday party next Saturday. I'm not embarrassed to admit I hope only a fraction of that number can actually make it; 28 is too old for full house parties. Or I'm too grown up; one of those. Anyway, even people without a Facebook are welcome to come along if they fancy a cake-and-jelly party.

May I ask a question about knitting?

I can't cast on for the life of me, and well, it's kind of stopping me from getting anywhere. Do you know of any handy tips / very simple instructions on the interwebs that may help me? =/

Knitting help is the best thing in the world for casting on. Long tail cast on is just swinging the needle from thumb to finger, and great when you've found the rhythm.
