Everything's good except my brain.

I've just used Facebook to invite over 50 people to my birthday party next Saturday. I'm not embarrassed to admit I hope only a fraction of that number can actually make it; 28 is too old for full house parties. Or I'm too grown up; one of those. Anyway, even people without a Facebook are welcome to come along if they fancy a cake-and-jelly party. ( Read more... )

Date for completion! B'sha'ah tovah! (Literally, "In a good hour." It's what Jews are supposed to wish expectant mothers instead of "Congratulations", and the implication is "May everything go exactly as planned and on schedule!")

That is the most fitting wish I could imagine, thank you!

(I feel a bit like an expectant mother right now)

Oooh, I'd love to come to your party for some cake and jelly, but I'm afraid I can't make it. :(

I hope that helps to make the turnout more manageable, and I hope you have a great time! :)

28 is not too old for house parties. My parents had I don't know how many people over for a joint 60th a couple of years ago. Much fun was had by all.

At least you have somewhere nice to have them in, and flatmates you actually, y'know, talk to so that this sort of thing happens.

I am too old and crochety to deal with 50 people in my little flat and then clean up after them. So there.

As long as you've got a kettle and a large bowl, I think I may

Oh good, a nice unusual name. You should be easy to search and find...

If I help clear up after, may I have a patch of floor to crash on after said birthday? :D?

I will totally bring food, too. Mmm, caramelized onion and goat cheese pastries.

First person to ask gets it!

Especially if they use a loltastic Arthur icon.
