You do not fail. Life is incredibly frelling hard. And while there are brief periods where it gets easier, it is always hard. People make it worth it. People who you talk to, or rp with, or just hang or work with. That is what makes it worth while when you are in this kind of thing.

You don't fail. You make people smile, and laugh, and make their days with a heart that is open and a willingness to be there.

Like other commenters have said here: You do not fail. The fact that you're concerned and worried shows that you don't fail. If you were failing, you wouldn't think to wonder if you were failing. (I'm usually saying this in response to friends who are new parents, where I have to say "If you're concerned enough to ask 'Am I a bad parent?', then you're not." But the same principle applies to many other situations, including this one.)
