It has been decided by my flatmates that we will be watching the final 3 episodes of Supernatural before embarking on Heroes Season 2. If I'm lucky, they won't insist on the last 3 episodes of Season 1 as well. This means that Heroes won't be watched tonight, or for a few days.

"Canon-puncture"? Is it worth asking what this terrifying phrase signifies?

It's a term from the RPG milliways_bar, meaning to tell a fictional character that they're fictional. A particularly egregious example:

Character A: "Hi! I'm A!"
Character B: "...Dude, I read your book! You are so awesome!"
Character A: "Um. Book?"
Character B: "Yeah! Author C wrote it. Man, that bit with the childhood trauma you never tell anyone about, with your father and the dog -- that was some heavy stuff. You kick ass!"
Character A: "......"

Obviously, it can happen in more subtle ways too. Milliways is a game with characters from lots of various universes, including some in which other books or movies are clearly established as fiction, so it can get tricky to navigate sometimes even when everyone's trying hard.

And a friend who used to be a dance instructor told me that stretches are naturally way harder for some people than others. :( The only way around it is constant practice, so it's no failing on your part. If you're making yourself work, though, you're doing good! (Apart from maybe the pain part.)
