[locked from Susan's students. Unhackable]

You. You stupid, stupid people. You arrogant scientists. I don't care who you are. I don't care what you want to achieve by your foolish interference with the laws of the universe. Do you think that somehow things would be better, if you revive the dead? That you can just bring people back and that will ( Read more... )

Hmm...Then again, where I am from can be thought of that way.

I doubt there are many things more ridiculous than these scientists, and their monumental foolishness.

Are you quite certain as to what this child knows and what she'll accept?

Death and the acceptance of who dies can be difficult even without the dead being brought back to life. It's not just children who have problems with it, is it, Miss?

How many people, do you think, would ever be able to see someone return from the dead, and not have that affect how they emotionally react to death for the rest of lives? How many people would not hold some hope, or have that thought that always lies under the surface that says maybe, just maybe, someone will come back again?

Do you really think that everyone can just go home from this place and accept a world where death is final, like it should be?

And no, children are not the only ones to struggle with death. Death was never meant to be easy for those who still remain.

Oh, I have no doubt it emotionally affects a person, but it doesn't mean it will always instil hope. The effects of a person, of people coming back from the dead are rarely positive. It effects so much else, you see~

If they have any sense they will.

...you're right. The dead should stay dead.

It's the way the universe works. And who are they to interfere?

Some people just can't accept that... they can't let go. But why the scientists do this- There's really no excuse.

Humans don't like to accept what they have no power over.

There will never be an excuse.

Yelling at them about it, Miss Susan, never really....gets through.

I'm afraid Lilo's confused about dying now from being here too.

[sigh] I'm aware of that. I have tried to speak with them before.

It'll be hardest when they send her - and you - home.

I will, of course, attempt to teach Lilo and all of my students the realities of life. But in this place, my teaching can only do so much.
