Somewhere in the past, Maladicta had heard that horses enjoyed sugar. Somehow, this ended up with her attempting to give Faramir's horse some of the sugar packets from the Perk

If Faramir had known her reasoning, he'd have pointed out that Baru had not spooked when they went riding.

"You are spoiling him," he commented, watching in amusement.

Which made him a very good horse!

"That would be if I kept bringing him sugar," Maladicta replied.

He was a horse of Rohan and had been trained to serve in battle, of course it was a very good horse!

"You will break his heart and stop them?" he teased.

What do you do with a heartbroken horse anyway? Hay flavoured ice cream and reruns of Mr. Ed?
