Вчера по NPR Radio сказали, что в два раза больше демократов чем республиканцев считают глобальное потепление серьезной проблемой.
Даже не знаю что и думать по этому поводу. О чем это вам говорит?

The sea ice in the Northern Hemisphere, in the Arctic Ocean, has, as you`ve heard on the news many, many times, been decreasing for the last few years. However, it has recently turned around, and there it is also increasing, and the area is quite large this winter.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes "most of the observed increase in globally averaged temperatures since the mid-twentieth century is very likely due to the observed increase in anthropogenic greenhouse gas concentrations" via the greenhouse effect. Natural phenomena such as solar variation combined with volcanoes probably had a small warming effect from pre-industrial times to 1950 and a small cooling effect from 1950 onward. These basic conclusions have been endorsed by at least thirty scientific societies and academies of science, including all of the national academies of science of the major industrialized countries. While individual scientists have voiced disagreement with some findings of the IPCC, the overwhelming majority of scientists working on climate change agree with the IPCC's main conclusions.

Эти выводы многократно подвергнуты анализу, и указано на вопиющие ляпы. Overwhelming - не настолько overwhelming, насколько им бы хотелось. Но если тебе хочется верить - не возражаю. "Блажен, кто верует, тепло ему на свете" :)

The first link you are citing is the only one that looks "scientific" to me. The others look like an old wife's tale.
