The lgbtfest fic. I promise I will stop talking about it now. Unless I do a commentary. Excitement.

Oh, this was just fantastic. I loved every minute of this.

Jay was so wonderful, and I love that you made him a fully realized character, even apart from Kevin. Okay, that doesn't sound completely right--suffice it to say that Jay rocks overall. And I love the glimpses we got of Kevin's relationship with the Walkers, and I'm sorry, but the thought of Justin lecturing made me laugh so hard.

Great, great job.

Thank you! I have a tendency to kind of obsess over my OCs, so I'm really glad to hear Jay came across as a full character. :) If I do a commentary on this one, I will probably babble about him more than anyone ever ever EVER wanted to hear.

I can kind of see Justin buying a book and taking it Very Seriously, and expecting everybody else to do the same. Aww, Justin.

Thank you again, and for your encouragement the other night when I was flailing about it. :)

Yay, Brothers & Sisters fic! And, holy cow, what an excellent fic it was! There's just so much to love here, from the way you handled various LGBT issues to the way you wrote the Walker family phone calls. But as awesome as the Walker chats are, Jay seriously wins the award for the best line in this fic:

Jay laughed a little, waving his finger at Kevin. "Begone with your gender stereotyping."

That line made me grin so hard, and I just fell in love with it. Jay is perfect for Kevin.

A better fic could not have been written for this prompt. My hat is off to you!

Thank you! I was having a hard time coming up with the structure for the fic, and then I realized the show gave me a ready-made one in the phone-call circuses. Thanks, show!

You know I love this, and you know I love Jay. Such a great character, and so many wonderful touches that felt *real*.

Oh wow. I don't know how to say it, but this fic really left me shaken up. Besides your incredible writing, I admire you for choosing this particular pairing which I think is not easy to write.

A good friend of mine actually just wrote her thesis about transsexual/transgender people and their use of language (does changing your gender mean that you have to change your language as well, i.e. use "male"/"female" language?), and she did a survey which we talked a lot about.
What was particulary fascinating for me about your story was that you chose a character who is at the same time Transgender and homosexual (which I learned is not so uncommon), and that I got the impression that Jay actually "used male language", even if I don't know it that was intentional or not.

I also loved how you included the whole Walker family and their reactions; because even if Kevin makes his own decisions, somehow his family is always "in the room with him".

Thank you. That's an interesting point about the language; I'm not sure if you could call it an intentional device or not. I sort of approached the fic as "write a story about two guys," so I suppose in that way the language structure was intentional, but I didn't go through and make a point of looking for it, if that makes sense?

I couldn't really separate Kevin from the family, no; their lives *are* so entangled and overlapping that they all needed to be involved.

Thank you again!

I love your story, I love Kevin, I love Jay, I love your Tommy, I love Kitty apologizing...

Very interesting points about language. And yes English is such a flexible language, so much more than French *sigh*

One last thing, Jay is exceedingly nicer than Scotty but hey, I'm a Jason shipper, probably the last one, though. Not that I don't like Scotty.

Now, I'm adding you as a friend I wouldn't want to miss another wonderful Kevin story;-)

Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. :)

If you hit the "fic_b&s" tag on this story, it'll take you to the other ones I've written, if you're looking for something to read. I can't promise wonderful, but they do...exist! Yes.

(Also- I'm pretty much a Jason shipper too. I have some issues with Scotty...well, beside the point right now, la la la!)
