I know that the year just started, but hey! As I've posted before, we should all start with a bang! *u*

So, as our first BANGING!contest this year, we, the mods, present:



LOVE WRITES:
Spread some love; not the legs.

What is Love Writes about?

Love Writes is actually a spin-off on the term love bites (hickeys). We kind of toned it down---so we have Love Writes. It is not really a contest--it is more of a Valentines' Day Event than a contest. Really.

Basically, it's just a writing event where everyone writes to their hearts content--well, up to their most innocent hearts' content. You'll see why we say innocent soon enough.

Spread some love; not the legs because we will post your stories here, and invite anonymous positive comments. :)

That's the Spread some love; part. It is not the legs because we will not be allowing any fic rating over PG-13. :)

Here are the instructions:

1. Pick a happily weird Secret Valentine Alias. It may sound so near your LJ username, then again it may not. For example, I am akihikaru. I can pick going as happilydorkyandweirdraindrop, or I can go as autumn light (the English translation of Aki and Hikaru).



2. Comment on this post, with this filled out:
   
   Username:Secret Valentine Alias:
   
   It will be screened. Please wait for a PM to verify your participation.



3. Write a very innocent (K - PG-13) fic that you will really be proud of.



4. You MUST get a beta reader. There are a lot in willbetaforfood; else, we, the mods, reserve the right to edit your fic for typos and little grammar errors. If there are too much, we will send it back to you, with a warning. If you areareallyhardheadedbrat get three warnings, you will be disqualified.



5. Email it to aki.hikaru[at]hot[removethispace]mail[dot]com. Your email subject should be: [USERNAME] aka [SECRET VALENTINE ALIAS] is SPREADING SOME LOVE. For example: akihikaru aka happilydorkyandweirdraindrop is SPREADING SOME LOVE. This way, we know you read the rules. :)
   
   Please save your fic as a .txt file. Please use the proper LJ codes for bolding, italicizing and the likes. Not sure how to? See this. 



6. Wait for a verification email. If you do not receive one after 24 hours, do not be afraid to PM akihikaru.

What else do you need to know?

1. The deadline of the fics is on February 8, 2012 at 12:00 AM, GMT.



2. Your fics will be posted on February 8; we will use your Secret Valentine Alias to keep it anonymous. THEREFORE, please do not post your fic on your journal or fic community till February 28, when the authors are finally revealed.



3. If you can, please post anonymously positive comments on other fics--especially if it's from your fandom, or it's a fic of your OTP. :) Find something good to say about everyone. Spread the love!
