Beautiful... Just beautiful.
I had such thoughts, too, thinking about Gackt's and Hyde's life. But I made it into videos. If you like, you can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1gRgCvdoLc
(The first part is already on, the second will be on this weekend, hopefully.)
I also like your idea of using merely one hundred words for each passage. It seems to me like a project to learn how to express what you want to convey with as less words as possible. What means to pick every word carefully. I like that.

Using only 100 words was really hard for me. It's a very deliberate way of writing, wheras usually I just start to write and see where the words take me. This time, I had to be very careful with that. Editing this fic was very difficult. It felt like trying to cut away what's too much with the constant fear of ruining the core.
I'm glad you liked it - and I will definitely watch your videos!

again, well done! being able to keep to such a strict writing technique and still produce such awesome texts, full of emotion and meaning, makes you one hell of a good writer. did you ever think about a serious career as an author?

on the other hand, i cant exactly relate to the content. i dont think those two could live their lives the way they do if they didnt truly want it. but thats just me ;) and it certainly doesnt make your stories less good, it only seems it doesnt quite fit their personalities.

btw, your 100 word technique reminds me of a piece of literature by some french author - who managed to write a novel without once using the letter "e". and theres even a german translation of it, keeping to the same limitation. an interesting read ^^

Thanks, once again, for the praise. A friend of mine once said that I should not spend valuable time sitting behind a desk in my office, but rather sitting at my keyboard at home just... writing. I do not know if I would be able to pursue a serious career as a writer - especially considering that I'm a German writing English fiction. However, I dream of being published one of these days. It's my goal in life. However, I have yet to finish my first "book".

I think no matter how happy you are with your life, no matter how great that life is - there are these days when you want out. There are these days when you look into the mirror and you don't know the person looking back. You start to wonder, what else might be out there. These three drabbles are more or less about these feelings, these days when the life you WANT to live just doesn't seem enough anymore. Then again, might just be me who thinks that even people in the spotlight could have these feelings :)

Care to give me the name of that novel and the author? Sounds really

as a german author, you should then either write in german or find a good beta reader if you want your writings published. it certainly is worth a try! and if you do want to publish something, then you should trust this feeling ;) you already working on a book?

of course youre right! only ive seen so much back stage stuff and been watching hydes career (not gackts though, im honest) very closely and it seems like he can try most of the stuff that comes to his mind and bursting with energy and creativity. i dont think hes the type of person to be pulled down by such feelings for too long. (and of course this is me hoping he leads the perfect live with his little family and all :D)

uh wait... *searching* his name is georges perec and the books name is "la dispiration", in german "anton voyls fortgang" (translation by eugen helmlé)
ive read an exctract of it in a book about decipherment ;)

I am working on one, yes - I have written parts of it in English, parts of it in German and I can't quite seem to decide on a language. Problem is, it's fantasy, and that's a genre that Germans are not overly fond of. German fantasy writers have to get really lucky (like Markus Heitz, for example). The publishers are rough on fantasy authors, it seems.

It's the impression I got from him, too. He's someone I'd love to meet in person - a very inspiring man, I imagine, and someone who would just manage to lighten up your day without trying too hard. I admire him for his personality - I'd love to be like that, to have that same kind of effect on people. It's what I try to do with my writing, because I absolutely fail at doing it as a person - touching people, moving them, making them smile and just drawing them into my own little world for a short while.
