The antibiotics are starting to take hold.

It feels so good to be productive. I finished the John Taggart essay, mailed it off (Yes, champdaddy , I did slug more on this than intended :)) and last night ordered my books to begin on the Cole Swensen piece. Can't wait to get them in the mail ( Read more... )

Cool ... It's short and it's for an encyclopedia. :) Still interested?

If so, I'll email it to you this evening.

Thanks, Feller!

Hooray for recuperation! You are a step away from being renamed "Booger Bear." Of course since you live in TN, you probably already know a few guys named Booger.

I prefer "Loogie Bear", ok? :) Oh! Actually, in the boondock county I grew up in, there was a stretch of road called "Booger Holler". Can you believe it?

I'll take you sight-seein' some day ... .

Awww, man, you have been for awhile -- as you know. Could you clear a little underbrush while you're in there? Oh! And be careful: It's murky in there ... .

Good to hear that you're feeling better,Sir..
By any chance, was it you that burnt the hair and esoteric twigs over the voodoo doll, thereby giving me this horrendous cough which rattles my ribs?

Eye Of The Tiger,eh?
You frighten me,Sir.

I did a jinx in reverse on that damn voodoo doll with the ballcap and tatsleeves. I took it down to the Mississipp' and Heimliched it over the waters, forcing it to cough forth sawdust and termites -- cedar, to be exact -- and then smeared my own phlegm on its chest.

Damn! That shit worked? :)

Man, I hope yours last shorter than mine has. Get antibods if you need them ... . Take care, Bud.

You perform the Eye of the Tiger for me? Get me going back to health? PLEASE ...?

Yea,Gawdamn it,it worked..And fuckin' how!Never,ever do that shit again.

It's not real sickness, just the seasonal combination of too many cigarettes, flucuating weather, and defective sinuses/upper respiratory.
Lung burns and non-productive coughs..Feels like I fought Leon Spinx, but alas, and oh well...It's a good excuse to get crunk as fuck on DayQuil.

No,absolutely not,Sir!
Surely, you would have to come up with a better song, one that wouldn't offend my delicate musical sensibilities..Perhaps Looking Glass' Brandy?

OK: No more dabblin' in who-do? for me.

And Yes: I'll take "Brandy"; you know I'm a sucker for that song. It makes me cheesy happy.

Right on for healing! I know I *hate* it when the cough won't stop. People look at me funny as I am enjoying a smoky treat and then stop to hack up a pound of lung butter. I just smile and say "Damn these taste good!"

Thanks, Fella! Yeah, the doctor gave me the "quit smoking" speech and offered Wellbutrin. Think I'll hack, as you say, and quit au naturelle ... .

All natural; the only way. Better living through pharmaceuticals makes a cute slogan, but when I quit, it'll be just that way: natural. Just like I like my men, and my... well, you get the idea.

Hehehe, I hear you. Goes along with my theme of giving up deodorant a few years ago. Now, that was an easy habit to drop ... .
